Effective date: 31 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Wolf Wine Co Pty Ltd (ACN 647 861 890, ABN 53 238 057 470), which operates WOLF&CUB, collects, holds, uses and discloses personal information. In this policy, “WOLF&CUB”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Wolf Wine Co Pty Ltd.

This policy applies when you visit drinkwolfandcub.com.au, purchase from us, subscribe to our communications, contact us, attend one of our events or otherwise deal with WOLF&CUB.

1. Our approach to privacy

We respect your privacy and handle personal information in accordance with applicable Australian privacy laws, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) where it applies, and the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).

We only collect information that is reasonably necessary for our business activities and take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

2. Personal information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • your name, email address, telephone number and delivery or billing address;
  • order, delivery, transaction and customer-service information;
  • business or organisation details where you purchase or enquire on behalf of a business;
  • communications you send to us, including enquiries, feedback and event correspondence;
  • your email and SMS marketing preferences, including when and how consent was provided or withdrawn;
  • account information if you create a customer account; and
  • technical information such as browser type, device information, IP address, pages viewed, referring pages and cookie or similar technology data.

We do not seek to collect sensitive information unless it is reasonably necessary and permitted by law.

3. How we collect information

We usually collect personal information directly from you when you place an order, create an account, join our mailing list, complete a website form, contact us by email or telephone, attend an event or otherwise transact with us.

We may also hold information recorded during earlier dealings with you, including customer correspondence and accounting records. Where another person places an order for you or provides your details, we may receive information from that person. Our ecommerce, payment, delivery and technology providers may also provide information needed to complete a transaction or support our website.

4. How we use personal information

We may use personal information to:

  • process payments, fulfil orders and arrange delivery;
  • provide customer service and respond to enquiries;
  • maintain customer, accounting and transaction records;
  • manage customer accounts, events and trade relationships;
  • detect fraud, manage security and protect our legal rights;
  • comply with taxation, liquor licensing, consumer protection and other legal obligations;
  • operate, analyse and improve our website, products and customer experience; and
  • send marketing communications where we have the required consent.

Payment information is processed by our payment providers. We generally do not receive or store complete payment-card numbers.

5. Email and SMS marketing

If you expressly choose to receive marketing communications from WOLF&CUB, we may use your name, email address or mobile number to send information about new releases, events, offers and other WOLF&CUB news.

We record when and how marketing consent is provided. We do not treat placing an order, making an enquiry or appearing in our customer, email or accounting records as automatic consent to receive marketing.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in a marketing email, replying STOP where that option is provided for an SMS, or contacting us at contact@wolfwineco.com.au. We do not charge for unsubscribing and will action requests within the period required by law.

Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from sending necessary service or transactional communications about an order, payment, delivery or enquiry.

6. Cookies and website analytics

Our website and service providers use cookies and similar technologies to operate the store, remember preferences, understand website performance, prevent fraud and improve the customer experience.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling some cookies may affect website or checkout functionality.

7. When we disclose personal information

We may disclose personal information where reasonably necessary to:

  • Shopify and other providers that host or support our online store, customer records and communications;
  • payment processors, banks and fraud-prevention providers;
  • delivery, warehousing and logistics providers;
  • accountants, insurers, professional advisers and technology support providers;
  • government agencies, regulators, courts or law-enforcement bodies where required or authorised by law; or
  • a purchaser or adviser involved in a proposed sale, restructure or transfer of our business, subject to appropriate confidentiality arrangements.

We do not sell or rent personal information as a business.

8. Overseas processing

Some service providers, including cloud, ecommerce, payment and communications providers, may store or process information outside Australia. The countries involved can change according to a provider’s infrastructure and subcontractors. Where applicable, we take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and require personal information to be handled consistently with applicable privacy obligations.

Our online store is hosted by Shopify. More information about Shopify’s handling of customer data is available in Shopify’s privacy information for customers.

9. Security and retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to reduce foreseeable risks.

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including order fulfilment, customer service, accounting, taxation, dispute resolution and legal compliance. Information that is no longer required is deleted, de-identified or securely disposed of where practical and permitted by law.

10. Access and correction

You may request access to personal information we hold about you or ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

We will respond within a reasonable period and explain any lawful reason that prevents us from providing access or making a requested correction. We do not ordinarily charge for making a request.

11. Privacy questions and complaints

If you have a privacy question, wish to make a request, or believe we have not handled your information appropriately, contact us at contact@wolfwineco.com.au or through our contact page.

Please provide enough information for us to understand and investigate your request. We will acknowledge and respond within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may be entitled to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
